A member of a Mines Advisory Group (MAG) community liaison team gives a mine risk education session at School Number 3 to Syrian refugee children in the Domiz Refugee a camp near Dohuk, Iraqi-Kurdistan. Many of the children passed through areas containing mines and unexploded ordnance when escaping the ongoing civil war in Syria and may return to the country periodically with their families. The camp, run by the UNHCR and International Rescue Committee, is situated on the site of an old Iraqi Army base that was bombed during the 2003 coalition forces invasion of Iraq and was cleared by MAG before being set up, unexploded ordnance is still found in the surrounding hills.
